The National Center for Construction Education & Research’s Build Your Future initiative is asking every state to proclaim October as Careers in Construction Month in 2019.
Build Your Future focuses on promoting construction careers to communities throughout the U.S. As part of its efforts to recruit the next generation of craft professionals, the initiative offers various resources that can be used by the construction industry and educators, including support for local career day events, state partnerships and a nationwide scholarship program.
Build Your Future is hoping to get Careers in Construction Month proclaimed by all 50 states. The process takes just a few minutes, and the only requirement is you must be a resident of the state in which you are proclaiming.
